Celebrating a True Concord Indie

Who could be a more independent guy than Concord native Henry David Thoreau?

July 12 is his birthday, and we and others across the world salute him and his legacy.  Born in 1817 at his grandmother’s house, he is the only of the Transcendentalists to have been a native son. Happy birthday, big guy!  You leave very big shoes for us Concord Indies to fill (which is why there are so many of us…).
